Make Life a Ride…a popular slogan from Automobile Giant BMW. Thanks to its VISION NEXT 100 – BMW has unvieled the prototype, of its vision motorcycle of the future.

The main features of the prototype unvieled is self balancing electric motor cycle. The self balancing feature is assumed to be managed by the gyroscopes, (no specific details were issued by BMW on the self balancing technology.) that generally uses gyroscopic torques to balance the motor cycle in an upright position, even though the motor cycle is stationary. It leans in a controlled manner when taking on curves and maintaining upright balance even during a collission, providing better safety enhancement for the rider. Both the beginners and experienced riders can be benefitted from the self balancing feature, as the motorcycle becomes more agile and dynamic to ride.

BMW has bragged that this design will give absolute sense of freedom for its riders. Freedom as an experience with all the senses, centrifugal forces, wind and acceleration.

The digital technological improvements will give the rider a higher levels of safety and will be kicked in, as and when necessary, without compromising the analogue riding experiences.

BMW has described this bike as a perfect synthesis between human and machine. This bike is portrayed as a zero emission solution and the prototype shown is very silent in operation.

Although it has been around 100 years, since the BMW started manufacturing motorcycles and yet some of the classical heritage elements are inherited in the new design like black triangular frames, white lines and the opposed twin engine looks.

Apart from the looks, this next generation design has integrated many innovations in the design, like wind reflectors, adaptive tyres and dynamic engine shape optimization based on riding conditions.

A large metallic reflector is integrated in the front of the concept vehicle, that improves the wind guiding aerodynamics and acts as a vitual windshield. The tyres are designed to actively adapt to the terrain. A special emission free engine is mounted on the centre of the frame, following the BMWs traditional roadster of the past. The engine resembles the boxer engine, in its form and performances. The engine is designed to be dynamically protruded out of the sides based on riding conditions.

Overall the futuristic emission free masterpiece is a welcome move from the Giant.
