Dubai is achieving yet another mile stone in the rapid paced city development, when RTA announced the winner of architectural design competition, for the sixth crossing over Dubai Creek.(Already five in place that’s the reason for the name.). This is an architectural marvel and will be holding couple of world records on the Arch Bridge Construction, when it is built. The 205 meters high arch and 1.6 Kms long bridge will boast world record, in line with the recent success stories on world’s tallest,biggest……..etc.

There will be 12 lanes on both directions for the road transport and a metro rail network passing through the centre. The total cost is estimated around a mammoth figure of $820 million. The expected year of completion is 2012.

The bridge is designed to connect the Lagoons in the creek with the rest of the main land. The aerial photography showing the proposed route.
